Il California Tweed 2x12 offre un suono piu grosso ed ampio rispetto al suono generato dalla versione Combo o dalla versione Cabinet 1x12. I suoi due coni Alnico da 8 Ohm sono collegati in parallelo per una carica complessiva di 4 Ohm.
Il design open back contribuisce ad avere un peso complessivo decisamente contenuto. A livello timbrico le frequenze basse sono molto presenti mentre le frequenze alte sono particolarmente morbide.
Come tutte le casse Mesa Boogie la Mesa Boogie 2x12 California Tweed Cabinet è realizzata in betulla del Baltico "Marine Grade" con pannello frontale in juta: un cabinet estremamente resistente, prodotto senza compromessi in termini qualitativi.
