La Epiphone ES-175 riproduce uno degli strumenti più amati al mondo. Nel 1949 Gibson introdusse il modello ES-175, divenuto celebre tra i chitarristi per la sua versatilità, data dal corpo completamente in acero e leggermente più piccolo (nasceva infatti specificatamente come chitarra elettrica, al contrario della sorella maggiore L-5).
La Epiphone ES-175 Premium mantiene il medesimo look sontuoso e lo stesso timbro vintage dell'originale ES-175, grazie al corpo in acero laminato rifinito con una finitura alla nitrocellulosa, i pickup Gibson '57 Classic, gli intarsi "Split Parallelogram" sulla tastiera in palissandro ed il tailpiece "traditional trapeze". Un'ottima scelta per il chitarrista blues e jazz.
