La Gretsch G6199 Billy-Bo è una versione moderna del modello Jupiter Thunderbird disegnato nel 1959 da Bo Diddley in persona. Billy F. Gibbons si innamorò della Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird originale regalatagli da Bob Diddley, ma decise di aggiungere alcuni dettagli personalizzati a questo storico modello.

La Billy-Bo è caratterizzata da un corpo con camere tonali in mogano, manico in mogano in un unico pezzo, tavola in acero laminato ultra sottile, pickup TV Jones Power'Tron e TV Jones Power'Tron Plus, ponte Adjusto-matic™ e per finire straplock Schaller. Genera un suono sporco, rock, proprio come lo strumento utilizzato da Billy Gibbons, e la suonabilità di questo strumento è qualcosa di memorabile.
