Description:
Get a true American original with the Gibson ES-335 Studio. Introduced in 1958 as Gibson's first thinline archtop electric, the ES-335 has continued to win over legions of devoted players for 60 years. Featuring a beautifully resonant maple/poplar/maple body, one-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of '57 Classic Humbuckers, this vintage instrument puts out one-of-a-kind tone that is ideal for jazz and blues but can also translate easily into rock as well.
The pair of '57 Classic Humbuckers in the Gibson ES-335 Studio are true to the original PAF humbuckers that came off the first 335 manufacturing line. With Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, two-conductor braided wiring, these '57 Humbuckers produce amazingly balanced, warm, crunchy tone — ideal for tube amplifiers. Because they are wax potted, these hot humbuckers are also not as prone to microphonic feedback as unpotted humbuckers often are. And with an MTC Plus (Memphis Tone Circuit) hand-wired with 500k pots and ceramic capacitors, you'll have nearly endless tone-shaping control at your fingertips.
