Il suo proprietario originale era la leggenda Peter Green, da cui il suo nomignolo "Greeny". Successivamente lo strumento passò nelle mani del leggandario Gary Moore, ed ora, dopo numerosi collezionisti, l'esemplare originale è stato acquistato dal celebre Kirk Hammett.
La Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard "Greeny" ricrea con una perfezione mai vista prima l'originale Les Paul del 1959. Torviamo una coppia di pickup "Custom Designed" Alnico II Humbuckers, uno dei quali è dotato di un magnete invertito permettendo di ottenere il tipico suono fuori fase reso celebre da Gary Moore.
Il corpo in mogano è molto leggero, mentre il manico in mogano è abbinato ad una tastiera in palissandro indiano. Il tutto invecchiato artificialmente con lo straordinario processo Murphy Lab.
Uno strumento raro, difficile da reperire e sicuramente esclusivo.
