The Gibson Custom Shop realased for 2014 a limited run of those Les Paul Class 5 with a Plain Top, for a very affordable price.

The Class 5 model stands in the Gibson Custom Shop catalogue as a modern version of the Les Paul Reissues built by Gibson Custom Shop. The construction quality is the same, but with modern specs.

The body, weight relieved, is made in mahogany, and is matched with a plain maple top. The neck profile is a confortable 60's V2, very fast and playable. The pickups are a set of Custom Bucker and the bridge is the traditional ABR-1 with stopbar tailpiece.
