Questo modello venne introdotto nel 1957 e la Gibson Custom Historic 1957 SJ-200 riproduce meticolosamente le caratteristiche tecniche ed estetiche dello strumento originale.
Nello specifico troviamo un magnifico corpo con fondo e fasce in acero massello fiammato, tavola in abete Sitka invecchiato artificialmente, manico in acero a 2 strati.
Il suono potente è magnifico, potente sulle basse, con una proiezione sensazionale ed una definizione eccezionale. Uno strumento perfetto per lo strumming, ideale per l'accompagnamento.
