1954 was the year that revolutionized the history of the electric guitar with the introduction of the Stratocaster. Every 10 years, to mark the anniversary, Fender produces commemorative reissues, and this is the case with the Fender Custom Limited Edition 1954 Stratocaster Lush Closet Classic.
However, this Stratocaster crafted by the Custom Shop has something that makes it even more special. It features an exclusive, out-of-catalog finish made specifically for Gino Guitars and includes several technical specifications designed to make it easier to play.
The instrument features a body made of lightweight, hand-selected ash, paired with a quartersawn maple neck. The neck profile we requested is the Mid 60's Oval "C," perfect for the modern guitarists who prefer an easier neck profile.
The frets we requested are 21 Narrow Tall / 6105 with a 9.5" radius, while the nut, following the 1954 specifications, is a 1.625" wide, making the neck incredibly easy to play (you have to try it to believe it!).
The electronics consist of a set of Fender Custom Hand-Wound '54 Stratocaster Single Coils wired with Vintage wiring.
