David Gilmour ha utilizzato questo sistema EMG sulla sua principale Strat (la rossa) per molti anni. Il DG20 viene fornito con pick-ups SA crema, cablati con un EXG Guitar Expander, un SPC Presence Control, e un master volume - tutto montato su una mascherina deluxe bianco madreperlato con parti in plastica bianche.

Il circuito expander EMG-EXG potenzia bassi ed alti riducendo le frequenze medie (perfetto per la definizione degli accordi ad alti volumi), mentre l'SPC fa cantare gli SA potenziando le frequenze medie e trasformando i single coil in humbuckers.
